Today
Today’s epiphanies:
1. ”Sun Comes Up” [John Legend] is a mandatory listen if your commute coincides with the sun actually coming up.
2. Don’t expect any of your pants to fit after a summer of festing/drinking/sunning. It’s not going to happen.
3. First day of school nightmares never cease to haunt.
4. Telling similarly-early-rising roommate “we are getting that worm” in a cheesey voice won’t get old for awhile.
Non-employed
Dan has a job…just not at Eisenhower. Nonetheless, he may be the hardest working copy boy in the field today.
Collate, goddammit!
Sherry, Dan’s better half, shares my mentality about bringing loved ones to work — it’s always more fun with a friend. I’m surprised he’s not in the yearbook, yet; he definitely has the attendance to back up a spot on the staff page. Those of you who enjoyed time “working” with me this summer (Kris, J.Cox, W) know how enjoyable employment can be when it’s not your own. So here’s to you, Dan, my favorite un-co-worker.
Which of the following tasks did Dan NOT complete today?
a. Make my syllabus copies while I sat in a meeting.
b. Go to lunch for the second day in a row with the social studies department.
c. Comment about how much he enjoys reading The Kee.
d. Use the loud speaker to serenade his wife (who IS a paid employee).
White handing off an important DOCUMENT.
